Here are a few things I want the woman who will one day hold my son's heart to know.

Even though I look at my sons and see my babies, I'm not raising babies. I am raising men. Men who some day will hopefully become fathers and husbands. Some of the most important roles in existence. It's my job as their mother to raise them with the skills necessary to go out into the world and fulfill those roles well. Each and every day I am gifted with these boys, I am committed to that responsibility.

This is a good lesson for all of us, no matter what stage of life you're in. You'll see what I mean.

A young woman went to her grandmother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her - her husband had cheated on her and she was devastated. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as soon as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, a top health care institution in the US, has finally given McDonald's the boot upon the realization that fast food may just not be the best choice for the sick (or anyone, really).

Well thank you, Cleveland Clinic! Considering that McDonald's food is full of GMOs, MSG, eggs that are a strange 'non-egg combination,' dimethylpolysiloxane (a silicone that can also be found in Silly Putty), and calcium silicate (a sealant used on roofs and concrete), you'll likely see an immediate improvement in your patient's health.

THE Royal Commissioner examining South Australia's child protection system has revealed plans to take evidence from 13 foster care or welfare agencies, but all hearings will be closed to the public.

At least two of the witnesses giving evidence say they would be happy to do so openly and the Opposition has called for open hearings to be the "default position", unless discussing details of sensitive child abuse cases. Applications can be made to the Commissioner, former Supreme Court Judge Margaret Nyland, for a hearing to be opened to the public or Justice Nyland can declare a hearing open if she believes the evidence is of public interest.

EDMONTON - A judge says an Edmonton foster mother did nothing that contributed to the death of a baby in her care four years ago.

Four-month-old Delonna Sullivan was found unresponsive in a bassinet on April 11, 2011, six days after social workers placed her in the foster home. An autopsy found the infant was healthy and the cause of her death was listed as unexplained.

After a childhood spent in foster care, becoming a teenage mother and living in an abandoned house in Camden, Parker had the stability she'd always missed. Her oldest, Yesenia, was a typical 11-year-old; she doted on her younger sisters.

"She was this loving, bubbly child," her mother said. All that was shattered on Jan. 24, 2013, when Yesenia's father, Byaer Johnson, a man she'd barely known but wanted to be a part of her life, shot the girl in the face at close range. Johnson turned the gun next on Yesenia's stepfather, but it failed to fire so he disarmed Johnson, who fled.

A Houston woman who operated a foster care and child placement agency has been accused of adoption fraud. Simone Swenson was arrested Friday after being indicted by a federal grand jury in Houston.

Prosecutors said Sans Pareil defrauded couples seeking to adopt by promising the same baby to multiple families. The agency's license was revoked in 2012 after regulators discovered money intended for foster families was used for mortgage payments and for visits to a nail salon.

I've been asked this many times. It's an understandable question, coming from those who are shocked to learn that people even consider bucking the medical system and their infamous childhood vaccine schedule.

To some, I may seem like some sort of modern day renegade; some kind of rogue in a vast wilderness of pharmaceutical influence. I suppose I am different, although I don't feel that way most of the time. What may set me(and millions of others) apart is how I reached this decision. There is not one sole reason that I've stopped vaccinating my kids; there are many reasons. I've been researching this topic in depth for quite a while now(spurred on by an adverse reaction my second child had to her twelve month round of shots), and I've come to the eye opening realization that the rabbit hole is much deeper than most people realize. I have many reasons for not trusting common vaccine science, but there are ten reasons that I feel compelled to specifically address whenever the topic comes up.

When I first started homeschooling, I really didn't appreciate the difference in two totally different approaches to education, which are homeschooling and public school at home.

Even coming from a family where my mother homeschooled my youngest sister, my vision of homeschooling was very narrow. Like a lot of new homeschoolers, I too just copied the public school system in everything from keeping a similar schedule, to curriculum selection and yes even testing my first child, Mr. Senior 2013.
