A former Pemberton Township police officer was sentenced Friday to three years of probation for endangering the welfare of a child in connection with inappropriate contact he had with an underage girl.

The victim, now 18, said Kreig's actions, which she claimed included penetration, kissing and touching, "violated" her "body, mind and soul." She claimed that she was only 11 when the sexual abuse started and that it lasted five years. Superior Court Judge Philip E. Haines sentenced Kreig to three years of supervised probation, part of a plea agreement reached with the state.

An off-grid homeschool family of 12 in rural Kentucky was raided, the mother arrested, and the 10 children seized simply because the government disagrees with their lifestyle and their educational choices, family members and friends say.

Until Wednesday, Joe and Nicole Naugler lived with their 10 kids in a cabin on 26 acres in Breckinridge County, about an hour southwest of Louisville. "They are an extremely happy family," family friend Pace Ellsworth told Off The Grid News. Acting on an anonymous tip about the family's off-grid lifestyle, sheriff's officers entered the property and home Wednesday, and even blocked the access road to the family property, the family says.

A South Florida child is suing two child welfare providers he says failed to protect him from being sexually abused.

The attorneys for the child say a man with a history of child molestation allegations is a former foster parent accused of sexually abusing a foster child in his care a few years ago.

After California's vaccine mandate bill SB277 was halted last week with an outcry of public outrage against it, the pro-vaccine mafia machine went to work. Democratic Sens. Ben Allen and Richard Pan helped pursue a vote rigging agenda.

That bill should have died in committee last Wednesday. Instead of taking a vote and letting it die, the bill gets postponed for a week so the author can work on amendments. It's currently scheduled as a "vote only item" Wednesday. That means no one in opposition will get to testify on whatever amendments the author proposes. How is that good government," asked Sylvia Pimentel, State Director of the Canary Party, and member of the California Coalition for Health Choice (CCHC).

Between December 17-20, 2014, measles arrived at the happiest place on earth and all hell broke loose. Anti-vaxxers were shamed and maligned by everyone from Jon Stewart, Jimmy Kimmel to Dr. Richard Pan.

According to the California Department of Public Health's latest measles surveillance report (3/6/15), since December of 2014, there have been 132 confirmed measles cases reported in California residents out of a population of 38.8 million. 40 cases visited Disneyland during the period in question. 81% were not hospitalized. 56% were over the age of twenty. 18% were between the ages of five to nineteen. 19 cases were between the ages of one through four. 15 cases were under the age of one. This affected exactly 34 kids from birth to age four. Since the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting in December of 2012, there have been 109 school shootings and no legislation. There is no measles epidemic. There is, however, an epidemic of vaccine legislation.

This week, thanks to events in Montgomery County, we learned that most of us were victims of "neglect" when we were growing up. Who would have thought it?

Our unenlightened parents kicked us out of the house to play by ourselves, assumed we could walk alone through our own neighborhood and would have chortled at the notion that they had to watch us every minute. They thought it was unhealthy for school-aged kids to spend all day tied to parental apron strings.

Writing on this topic feels like standing before a giant with a thousand voices and opinions. I will be honest and upfront - I won't be able to represent everyone.

In the recent months I have been approached by almost half a dozen parents who are considering homeschooling. My response is "Do it!" Those are the first words that come out. Some ask if my husband and I area worried about their social life. Um, yes we are. Then they try without accusation to look over at our kids and see if they are normal and not hermits.

A brother and sister whose bodies were found in a deep freezer in their Detroit home had been beaten to death, autopsies determined Friday, painting a more complete picture of the horrors that unfolded inside the home for years.

Their older sister, who is 17, told child welfare officials that their mother, Mitchelle Blair, tortured Stephen "for approximately two weeks prior to his death by tying a belt around his neck, throwing hot water on him while in the shower and putting a plastic bag over his head." The girl and Blair's other surviving child, an 8-year-old boy, have been placed in the care of a relative.

Autopsies have determined that two children found dead in a freezer in their Detroit home were beaten to death, with the youngest child also suffering "thermal injuries."

The Wayne County medical examiner's office released the autopsy results Friday on Stoni Blair and her brother, Stephen Berry. It says both deaths were homicides. The children's mother, Mitchelle Blair, was arrested Tuesday after court officers found the bodies while conducting an eviction at her home. She is charged with child abuse but prosecutors said they may charge her with murder.
