Family Stuck In Limbo
Peggy writes in about her families struggle to obtain reunification services:
Our county CPS, claims they want to reunite the family but the case worker seems to want to keep us apart. We have complied with everything they wanted us to do and they still keep our girls from us.
Now they have sent our youngest to be diagnosed, they sent our oldest to an behavorial academy. Now we feel they are going to send our youngest. It is just like a prison. We need help but have nothing left.
My husbands place of employment is over in a week, he had an offer to transfer but had to turn it down because of CPS. We can't just run out on our children.
My youngest is so hard that she is keeping it all bottle in and acting out to keep from feeling the hurt. They won't even get her help so she can talk about it.
Please help us some way.

This is a common complaint among those who's children have been removed by CPS. It's a delay tactic. For every hurdle you cross, they erect another in its place.
Is there anyway your hubby could move on to the new location and you remain behind, with family or friends. The separation will be difficult but no more so than having all your funds drained by crafy CPS workers.
You don't say which state you are in so, I can't add anything specific for you - except to offer that if you have not done so yet, study the CPS guidelines in your state. Make certain they are following the law as it is written. Report any violations.
Each state has an official complaint process. Be sure to follow it.
Your lawyer needs to be aggressive on your behalf. Put the county on the defense. You must make it more costly and time consuming to keep you on the defensive.
In otherwords, give them a legal shit storm (pardon my French), but you need to become a major pain in their rear. Demand that your attorney files court papers to require your children's return.
Best wishes to you and your family. Be sure to connect with those in your area who have been there and done that.
I am in the process of transfering all CPS links over, where you will find many helpful resources. So, be sure to check back.
Thanks for writing.
Give the kids a hug from me!
